You can sometimes add it to a base you create to make a homemade facial scrub. Watch that you do not scrub too hard or you could cause irritation and redness.
- Oatmeal and honey-This combination gently scrubs away dirt and debris from your pores. It is milder than other home scrubbing solutions. Therefore, it helps moisturize and replenish the skin. The only downside is that the honey is a bet messy to wash off.
- Cleansing Masks-Often the base ingredient is either eggs or mud (usually made of clay or dirt). A variety of foods are often mixed into the egg-based mask. For instance, it might have in it milk, banana, honey, yogurt, oatmeal, strawberries or other foods. Usually it is set on the face and then removed. It helps wipe away dead skin cell and unclog the pores.

The type of home skin care remedy you use to help keep acne at bay will vary depending upon skin type. A stronger treatment would be used for oily skin to help unclog the pores. A milder treatment would usually be applied to more sensitive skin.
